Buggy Safari Marbella
This month we thought we would try something completely different and what
could be more different than a
buggy safari. Buggy Safari Marbella are
new to the coast and offer either three and a half hour or six hour trips. You
get to be the driver,on these great fun tours. No experience necessary but
you will need to hold a full drivers license as these buggys are road legal.
The buggies have 250cc motorbike engines and are capable of carrying two
people at speeds of up to 70 kph.  After meeting at their office in
Elviria and
being given a brief tutorial, we set off on the back roads heading up a
mountain to our first stop which was the fire look out point for the whole of the
coast. The views from here were spectacular. Our guide for the day was Mark
who pointed out many points of interest and even some nature facts. From
here we continued along off road dirt tracks through some  really beautiful
countryside which you would never believe was only 10 minutes inland from
the bustling coast of
Marbella. Eventually we arrived at the small village of
Ojen where we were grateful of the chance to grab a drink from a local bar
whilst others decided to have a wander around and soak up the atmosphere
of a typical
Andalucian village. After a quick drink it was time to head back
and my turn to have a go at driving.  The buggies are extremely easy to
operate with a pedal to go and a pedal to stop and once you get used to the
heavy steering they are a pleasure to drive and very comfortable, they even
have drinks holders. The driving is definitely the best part of this day. If you
take part in this experience I guarantee you will want to know how much the
buggies cost so you can add one to your wish list. We had a really great time
and I would definitely do it again. The good thing about this experience is that
the whole family can participate. As long as there is one drivers license
holder per buggy, children as young as four can ride in a buggy in complete
safety. Buggy Safari
Marbella also offer corporate days to companies and
can accommodate groups of up to 10 people at a time. For more information
