
Marbella is probably the most important beach resort of the Costa del Sol. Marbella is famous for being a playground for the rich and famous and is seen as a favourite holiday destination for wealthy tourists from Northern Europe, as well as UK and Germany. Marbella and it’s surrounding areas is extremely popular with golfers, having 15 golf courses in the Marbella area and a further 45 golf courses within 100 km. Marbella also has plenty of things to do for families such as scuba diving, quad biking, buggy safari, aqua sphering, mini golf,and the famous Funny beach to name but a few. From Marbella places, like Malaga and Algeciras, are easy to reach by bus or by the A7 autovia (motorway), making it an ideal location from which to explore the Costa del Sol. Malaga airport is approx 35 km away and takes about 25 minutes by car or by bus.The Marbella coastline has some 26 km of golden sun drenched beaches lapped by the Mediterranean.
